Concentrates & Dabs

We Love Providing The Highest Quality Products!

What's The Difference?

There are so many different types of cannabis concentrates and dozens of nicknames. But what’s the difference? It comes down to 2 key factors… 1) whether solvents were used in the extraction process and 2) the texture of the finished product.
Dabs are concentrated doses of cannabis that are made but extracting THC and other cannabinoids by using a solvent like butane. The consistency of the finished product determines whether or not it is considered a wax, shatter, budder, butane hash oil (BHO), or other. Keep reading to learn more about each type below.

Vape Cartridges

Containing higher levels of cannabinoids than flower, cartridges come pre-filled with oils derived from various strains. Easily accessible, functional, portable and discrete, the oil found in vape cartridges can be heated to different temperatures boiling off the active cannabinoids and terpenes to produce an inhalable vapor. Vaping delivers terpenes and cannabinoids to the bloodstream just as quickly as smoking but allows for more precise dosing while also better preserving the cannabinoids and terpenes due to the lower temperature achieved through the vaping process.

Live Resin

Live resin is made from fresh cannabis that was not dried or cured. NAF takes freshly harvested flower, flash freezes it using liquid nitrogen, and maintains the frozen status through the entire extraction process. This preserves the cannabinoids and terpenes. NAF Live Resins contain a higher cannabinoid and terpene profile than concentrates derived from dried or cured flower.

Rosin

Rosin is created by applying heat and pressure to flower. Rosin is a desirable technique because its concentration does not require the use of external chemical solvents. Rosin is a marijuana extract that is free of chemicals and can be inhaled with a regular pipe, dab rig, or vaporizer.

Kief

Kief is an un-pressed resin powder that is collected by sifting or sieving dried flower through mesh screens onto a glass or metal sheet. Keif is the most potent part of the cannabis plant in terms of cannabinoid and typically has a high concentration of THCA. Kief can be pressed into hash, used as an ingredient to infuse food, or to top of joints, blunts, and pre-rolls.

Shatter

Highly favored for dabbing because of its ease in handling, Shatter is named for its breakability when handled, With an amber and glass transparency, Shatter has a reputation of being the cleanest type of extract. No molecules are agitated during the heating process, resulting in an undisturbed glass appearance. NAF ensures long and delicate purging cycles to ensure that all solvents are removed and a pure finished product is obtained.

Wax, Butane Hash Oil (BHO), “710”

Wax is one of NAF’s most sought-after concentrates. Our high quality versions contain a THC content that is equivalent of 15-20 joints. While there are many plants available with a THC content of 30%, NAF’s waxes have a concentration of 75%-90%+. Wax is a non-transparent, solid oil that has a much softer and crystalline appearance than shatter. Like shatter, wax takes on different consistencies based on moisture, heat and other factors.
